The Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra and Conductor Kevin Lines invite all to the 3rd concert of its 62nd season.
The featured soloist will be highly respected area trumpet performer, Chris Farris. Originally from Moberly, MO, Mr. Farris is in his 17th year of teaching band for Columbia Public Schools. MPO supporters have likely enjoyed his performances as a free-lance musician throughout Mid-Missouri, most notably as a regular performer with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra and as a frequent Lyceum Theatre musician. On Sunday, Farris will perform Haydn’s famed “Trumpet Concerto in E-flat Major” and a powerful and stirring composition, “The Prayer of Saint Gregory” by Alan Hovhaness.
A meet and greet reception will immediately follow the concert.
