A Carrollton resident charged with two sex-related felonies for alleged incidents involving a juvenile between October 10, 2016, and February 5, 2017, changed his plea to one of the charges and has been sentenced to state prison.
Online court documents say Jeffrey R. Corey pleaded guilty to one count of a Class B Felony for Child Molestation in the First Degree. He also originally was charged with an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree-Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less than 14 Years Old.
Corey changed his plea during proceedings at Ray County Circuit Court in Richmond on Tuesday, February 13, and as per a plea agreement, he was sentenced to spend eight years in the Department of Corrections.
