Missouri Valley College’s Nonprofit Leadership Alliance chapter was one of two colleges in the nation to be awarded Four-Star Campus Program Status for 2017 by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
A news release says the other institution was Arizona State University, and this recognition is given to chapters that demonstrate campus excellence through program growth, certification of nonprofit professionals and evidence of campus excellence through program reviews. The MVC Nonprofit Management Program finished runner-up to ASU for the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Campus Excellence Award.
The Campus Excellence Award is given annually to the campus that is determined to be most outstanding in four areas. The MVC Nonprofit Program reportedly was deemed outstanding in every area.
Campus evaluation is done through the submission of a student-produced, 3-minute campus/program video; a 10-minute student presentation; letters of recommendation from community partners; and letters of support from campus leadership.
