A Marshall man accused of the alleged murder of a Slater resident has another court proceeding scheduled this week after he appeared for his arraignment hearing in Saline County on Monday, March 12.
According to online court documents, 30-year-old Adam McAlister appeared in custody via video and was formally arraigned at the Saline County Circuit Court. McAlister informed the court he plans to seek counsel from the public defender.
Online court documents also say McAlister is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder and an Unclassified Felony of Armed Criminal Action for the alleged murder of 31-year-old Lance Gibson on March 9. Bond has been set at $500,000 cash only with special conditions.
McAlister is scheduled to appear for a counsel-status hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, at the Saline County Circuit Court.
