A Kansas City, Kansas man is formally charged with a felony for allegedly stealing items from a vehicle last year in Cooper County.
According to a probable-cause statement, on November 16, 2017, Boonville Police officers responded to a Loves Travel Stop regarding a vehicle break in which about $3,000 worth of items reportedly was stolen. Officers listed the alleged stolen items which included a Nikon camera, various pieces of jewelry and the victim’s wallet.
During the investigation on November 20, 2017, officers were advised by the St. Charles Police Department that 38-year-old Kevin Cummings was in their custody on alleged stealing charges in St. Charles County, and he reportedly was in possession of the alleged stolen items from Cooper County.
Online court documents say a warrant has been issued in Cooper County, and Cummings has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing- $750 or More. Bond was fixed at $10,000 cash or surety.
Cummings’ initial hearing at Cooper County Circuit Court is pending.
