During its meeting on Monday, April 16, the Carrollton Town Council approved the results of the Municipal Election.
Administrative Assistant Terry Bell says the Oath of Office was given to the winners and a person who was appointed to the council.

In other news, the council gave the approval to amend an ordinance involving local purchasing preference for bids.
Bell explained that the city wants to accept bids of local vendors as much as possible. She said that will be done, as long as the local vendor’s bid meets certain criteria.

In other business, Bell said the council approved an agreement for the extension of a contract for rental property at the industrial park. Bell said the contract is for five years but is broken up into one-year increments.
