During its meeting on Monday, May 7, the Carrollton Town Council was asked to approve a Wine and Beer Walkabout event scheduled for later this year and requested by the Carrollton Area Economic Alliance.
Administrative Assistant Terry Bell explains.

Bell said the event was approved to be held around the square from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 29.
In other news, Bell said a couple is wanting to open a pawn shop in the Harvest Hills area.

Bell said the target time frame the couple wants to have the store open by is mid-July.
Bell said the council also gave approval for a liquor license for the Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association during the Carroll County Fair the second week of July.
