ORIGINAL STORY
The Kansas City Police Department needs help from the public in locating a missing teen who reportedly was abducted during a shooting incident on Thursday, June 21.
According to a news release, at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Friday, June 22, law enforcement issued an Amber Alert for 15-year-old Brajean Sledge, who was last seen wearing a white v-neck shirt and dark colored pants. She is described as a black female, about 5 foot 8 and weighing about 125 pounds with brown eyes and black hair styled with a blonde weave.
On Thursday, June 21, KCPD responded to a reported shooting incident at a residence where they determined Sledge may be in immediate danger as a result of the incident. An unnamed suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a black male in his late teens/early 20’s, who is about 5 foot 7 and was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
Authorities have not determined a vehicle or location in which the suspect possibly took the missing teen in.
