A Marshall man accused of murdering a Slater resident earlier this year has another court proceeding scheduled for this week.
According to online court documents, 30-year-old Adam McAlister is facing a Class A Felony for Second-Degree Murder and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action for allegedly killing 31-year-old Lance Gibson on March 9.
McAlister appeared in person in custody for a preliminary hearing on June 20. The court found probable-cause, and the case was transferred to Division 4.
Bond has been set at $500,000 cash only, with special conditions. Two motions made by McAlister’s attorney to have his bond reduced have been denied by the court.
McAlister is due for an arraignment hearing at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 25, at Saline County Circuit Court.
