A Grandview man was seriously injured in a rollover traffic accident in Cooper County on Tuesday.
According to a report from The Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a westbound vehicle, 20-year-old Hunter Miller, reportedly fell asleep at the wheel which caused the vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a guard rail face, overturned, returned to the roadway and came to a rest upright in the middle of the roadway.
Miller reportedly was transported by Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of injuries.
The accident happened just before 10:30 a.m. at the 103.2 mile marker of I-70.
