Two area teens were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Ray County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Lace Clark, of Rayville, reportedly entered an intersection into the path of a southbound freightliner, driven by 50-year-old Barry Weaver, of Warrensburg, causing the freightliner to strike the left rear quarter panel of Clark’s vehicle.
Clark reportedly was flown by Life Flight helicopter to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. A 15-year-old female passenger in her vehicle, of Richmond, was transported by E.M.S. to Liberty Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Weaver reportedly was not injured.
The crash happened just after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Missouri Highway 13 and South Street.
