Just over two weeks remain for anybody to cast their vote to see which park will be deemed — the people’s choice for best in America.
According to a news release from the Missouri State Parks, Katy Trail State Park is one of the five finalists in the American Planning Association’s Greatest Places in America: People’s Choice contest.
Voting began on October 17 and will end on Friday, November 2.
The other candidates are: Uncas Leap Heritage Area in Norwich, CT; the Riverwalk in Tampa, FL; the Detroit Riverfront; and the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
