A Blackburn resident was injured in a head-on traffic crash with a vehicle which had a snow plow blade attached in Lafayette County on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as an eastbound truck with a snow plow blade, driven by 20-year-old Shane Sheaffer, of Odessa, reportedly crossed the center of the roadway and struck a westbound vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Robert Steffens. Steffens’ vehicle then traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to a rest. He reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
Steffens reportedly was transported by Concordia E.M.S to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of moderate injures. Sheaffer reportedly was not injured.
The crash occurred just after 5:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 20 at Salt Fork Road.
