At the county commission meeting on Tuesday, December 4, Saline County Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day detailed what the EMA does during severe winter weather conditions.
Day said he was very busy during the blizzard conditions which occurred in the area on November 25.

Day added it takes very dire circumstances to open up warming shelters.

Day said the agency would inform the public as soon as possible in regards to the opening of warming shelters if the need is there during severe weather predicaments.
