MARSHALL CITY COUNCIL HEARS THANK YOU LETTER FROM FLORIDA RESIDENTS DURING MEETING ON DECEMBER 3

A heartfelt letter from residents of Florida regarding the discovery of a relative’s grave in Marshall was read during the city council meeting on Monday, December 3.

During his report, City Administrator David Haugland began to read the letter.

Haugland continues….

After reading the letter, Councilman Ron Ott said the markers or headstones in the graveyards east of the ball fields, and close to Highway 240, are mostly unnamed and marked by a number. Haugland added there is not much information as to identifying the graves due to the records the city has available. Ott said he would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in properly marking those unnamed graves.

Anyone interested in helping can contact any council member or call City Hall at (660) 886-2225.
