An area resident were injured in a traffic crash involving a stationary vehicle in Johnson County on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an northbound vehicle was parked on the right side of the roadway which partially blocked the lane as the driver was picking up debris off the roadway. Another northbound vehicle, driven by 47-year-old Trisha Anderson, of Knob Noster, reportedly struck the parked vehicle.
The driver of the parked vehicle was not injured, but Anderson reportedly was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of moderate injures.
The crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Route D near Northeast 10 Road.
