A traffic stop on Monday, December 10, led to drug charges being filed against a Salt Lake City man in Cooper County.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say they found five duffel bags that contained approximately 95 pounds of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle, and Homero Alejandro Romero was arrested.
Online court documents say Romero has been charged with Class C Felonies for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoid. Bond has been set at $100,000 cash or surety.
Romero’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
