Three persons suffered injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Lafayette County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as 37-year-old Elizabeth White, of Ozark, reportedly pulled her southbound vehicle into the path of a westbound International, driven by 59-year-old Lynn Murry, of Higginsville.
White and a passenger in her vehicle- Tammy Walker, of Jefferson City- each suffered serious injuries, while Murry sustained moderate injuries. Walker and White, who reportedly were not wearing seat belts, were transported by Sweet Springs and Higginsville E.M.S. units, respectively, to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment. Murry was taken by Higginsville E.M.S. to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment.
The crash happened at 5 p.m. at the intersection of Missouri Highways 20 and 23.
