The Missouri Valley College Nonprofit Leadership Alliance was recently awarded the title of “Nonprofit Campus of the Year” during a national conference on January 4.
According to a news release, the program at MVC was presented the award during the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance National Conference in Orlando, Florida. Last year, the MVC Nonprofit Leadership Alliance was runner-up to Arizona State University for this award.
A number of representatives from MVC were present to accept the award including: Heather Troth, campus executive director of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, Jamie Gold-Naylor, assistant professor of non-profit leadership, and eleven MVC students.
The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, formerly American Humanics, was the first college program of study to train professionals for youth and human service agencies. The program has now spread to more than 40 colleges and universities nation-wide including Arizona State, Brigham Young University, and the University of Houston.
Missouri Valley College offers a bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management with concentrations in human services and recreation administration, as well as a minor in nonprofit management. MVC has certified more than 650 nonprofit professionals.
