Two Keytesville residents are facing drug-related felony charges after the execution of a search warrant on January 22.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say they found plastic baggies containing methamphetamine and marijuana; an electronic scale; a digital scale- with crystal-like and green-leafy residue; a notebook containing weights and prices; and other drug-related items at 412 Senior Terrace apartments in Keytesville.
Online court documents say Jayden R. Lewis has been charged with a Class A Felony for Distribution of a Controlled Substance in a Protected Location. Lewis and James Michael Calvert each has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; a Class E Felony for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and a drug-related misdemeanor. Bond for Lewis has been set at $10,000 and Calvert at $7,500 cash only.
An initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Chariton County Circuit Court.
