A Smithton man who has been charged with a felony for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile last year is due in court next week.
According to a probable-cause statement, on February 7, 2018, a female told authorities about an unwanted sexual encounter in a vehicle with Hollis Dean Smith on January 13, 2018.
Online court documents say Smith, who is now 43, has been charged with a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree. Smith posted surety bond on April 25.
Smith, who entered a plea of not guilty in August, is due to appear for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
