A Lone Jack man sustained minor injuries in a traffic crash involving three vehicles in Lafayette County on Thursday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, as traffic was slowing down, the crash occurred as a westbound vehicle, driven by 46-year-old Steven Larish, reportedly struck another westbound vehicle, driven by 32-year-old Robert Schwerman, of Belton, in the rear, which caused Schwerman’s vehicle to strike the rear of a westbound freightliner, driven by 55-year-old Richard Porowski, of Ratcliff, Kentucky.
While Schwerman and Porowski reportedly refused treatment of minor injuries at the scene, Larish was transported to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. at the 30.4 mile marker on I-70.
