A Higginsville man is facing multiple charges in Lafayette County.
According to a probable cause statement from the Higginsville Police Department, during the morning hours of May 15, 24-year-old Tylar Mattivi and his girlfriend reportedly got into an argument about her taking their child to a relative’s home. Mattivi confronted her and reportedly pulled out a handgun and fired two rounds in the garage. When the woman returned home from work that evening Mattivi reportedly called her names and hit her in the back of the head before pushing her down. When the victim fought back, a physical fight reportedly ensued, and she was reportedly treated at the hospital for a “boxer’s” fracture.
Mattivi has been charged with a Class E felony for unlawful use of a weapon and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault in the 4th degree.
His initial hearing is pending at Lafayette County Circuit Court.
