An area college student has earned a spot to play alongside elite musicians early next year.
According to a post on Missouri Valley College’s Facebook page, MVC student Jessica Gunderson has been selected to perform in the 2020 Missouri Music Educators’ Association’s (MMEA) All-Collegiate Band.
Gunderson, who is completing her minor in Music this year, will go through three days of intense rehearsals, preparing some of the most challenging concert band literature.
This group will boast some of the best collegiate musicians in the state as they perform at the MMEA Conference on January 24, 2020, at Tan-Tar-A Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks.
