Bond has been set at six figures for each of two persons charged with drug-related felonies after authorities allegedly found a large cache of a controlled substance in a room of an establishment on December 30, 2019.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities say they located a baggie floating in a toilet tank of a motel room in Sedalia. They say there were four individual bags of methamphetamine inside the bigger bag. The total weight of the methamphetamine reportedly was 129.5 grams.
Court documents say Kristopher Paxton, of Sedalia, and Jessica Pruitt, of Gladstone, each has been charged with a Class B Felony for Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree. Bond for each has been set at $100,000 cash or surety.
An initial hearing for each of the accused is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
