Salisbury R-4 Superintendent Troy Clawson gave a update on the construction of the Ag building during the school board meeting on Monday, February 17.
According to meeting minutes, Clawson reported plumbing is being installed; the floor will be poured when the weather permits; the pre-engineered metal building has arrived; and the funds will be paid from lease-purchase funds until it has a zero balance, and all other payments will be made from Fund 4.
Clawson also said this upcoming year there is an estimated increased cost of 13.9 percent regarding the district’s health insurance.
In actions taken, the board approved to have the district pay the difference of what the district charges for adult lunches and the state minimum, which is 10 cents per meal.
In executive session, the board voted to extend Clawson’s contract through the 2020-21 school year.
