The average high temperature climbed slightly in February from January at the KMMO studio in Marshall.

According to statistics provided by the National Weather Service, the average high temperature was 41.9 degrees in February, as compared to 39.1 degrees in January. The high of 68 degrees was recorded on February 4.

The average low temperature of 23.6 degrees in February was slightly lower than the 23.9-degree average in January. The low of minus-2 degrees was recorded on February 14. The mercury also dipped to minus-1 degree on February 15.

Measurable precipitation was registered on only eight of the 29 days- totaling 1.24 inches in February, down considerably from 2.56 inches in January.
