Local officials met on Sunday, April 5, 2020 to discuss and get clarification on the “Stay Home Missouri” Order issued by Governor Parson on Friday.
Saline County Health Department Administrator, Tara Brewer met with the County Commission, Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management Director Tony Day and city officials Sunday, April 5, to discuss the “Stay Home Missouri” Order issued by the Governor and the “Mitigation” Order issued by the Health Department.
Brewer said, the Mitigation Order allows local law enforcement to enforce the stipulations in the Governor’s Order.
Brewer said, said Governor Parson’s Order puts a restriction on the number of people per square footage for businesses.
Brewer emphasized the fact that people have to take the Stay at Home Order seriously.
Brewer suggests asking a neighbor to help do your shopping or do grocery store pick up if you are not able to have just one person go to the store.
Brewer said the county will continue to abide by Parson’s Order. The Mitigation Order that goes a week past the Governor’s Order, allows local officials to enforce the rules implemented.
