COVID-19 drive-thru testing is scheduled to be available on Wednesdays in Lafayette County.
According to Live Well Center, the COVID-19 test will be available each week from noon to 8 p.m. at the Lexington-4-Life Center at 811 South Highway 13.
There is no out-of-pocket cost for COVID-19 testing; however, you are urged to bring your insurance and identification cards, if you have them. Follow-up calls will be made to every person tested. Anyone can be tested- no matter where you live; and you don’t need to have symptoms. Testing also is being conducted at any Live Well Community Center.
Antibody screening- which costs $75- is available at another location. Antibody screening is recommended for individuals who had symptoms at least 14 days prior to testing, but don’t have symptoms at the time of the antibody screening.
Symptoms are: fever; fatigue; cough; sneezing; aches; pain; chills; runny/stuffy nose; sore throat; diarrhea; shortness of breath; and/or loss of smell or taste. If you have any of the symptoms, you are urged to self-isolate and contact a healthcare provider immediately.
You can call (660) 243-4005 or (660) 259-2440 for more information.
