On November 2, 2015, Sedalia welcomed Eric Bransby back to the Sedalia Municipal Building for a special viewing of “The Sedalia Murals,” panels created by Bransby in 1977.
A news release says in the course of his career, the now 103-year-old Bransby has created over 20 murals displayed in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Illinois.
Colorado-based production company “Inspirit Creative,” in association with “Back Drop America Pictures” captured Bransby’s November visit, and footage of this memorable event will be included in the documentary film “Art for the People: Eric Bransby, American Mural Artist.”
This film will be aired at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, on Kansas City Public Television (KCPT).
