More than three dozen bricks honoring veterans were placed at the “Veterans’ Memory Walk of Honor” at the Saline County Courthouse in Marshall on Saturday, May 23.
A news release from former Saline County Northern District Commissioner Charlie Guthrie says 42 bricks were placed on the west side of the courthouse.
Guthrie says Ed Reis, Kip Bethel, Bob Robinson, Zack Fletcher, Paul Bethel and Tommy Berger helped install the bricks.
Bricks will again be placed at the “Veterans’ Memory Walk of Honor” before Veterans’ Day in November.
Guthrie says the veteran does not have to be from Saline County.
Bricks honoring veterans cost $50 each, and applications are available at the Saline County Collector’s, Recorder of Deeds or Treasurer’s office at the courthouse; at Dale Zank’s State Farm Insurance office; or from Reis at Wood & Huston Bank in Marshall.
