A trip to the Marshall Dog Park turned out to be tragic for two canines on Wednesday, May 27.
According to one pet owner, he was there with his Shepherd and 9-year-old Chihuahua, and a woman was there with two dogs she was pet sitting- one of which she had on a leash- a 15-year-old rescue believed to be an English Mastiff.
The owner of the Chihuahua said the English Mastiff bit his Chihuahua, causing serious injuries. The Chihuahua was rushed to a veterinarian for treatment and medication. Later in the afternoon, the injuries the Chihuahua suffered were too severe, and Buster died.
The English Mastiff- which was raised in a hoarder home and had to fight for food named Kanga- had to be euthanized.
The owner of the Chihuahua said it was a sad day for both parties.
