Bond has been raised from its original setting for a Sedalia man who has been charged with two felonies after a traffic stop on Wednesday, May 27.
According to a deputy’s report, the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force was conducting surveillance on Douglas Bradley. Bradley was noticed driving west on U.S. Highway 50 toward Kansas City. While the traffic stop was being conducted, the deputy said he saw Bradley moving around a lot inside the vehicle, and then he saw Bradley throw something out of the driver’s-side window.
Deputies retrieved the baggie, which contained a black substance, consistent with heroin. A passenger in Bradley’s vehicle confirmed it was black tar heroin.
Bradley has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Tampering with Physical Evidence in a Felony Prosecution. Bond originally was set at $15,000 cash or surety. But on May 28, the court raised bond to $50,000 cash or surety.
Bradley’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
