A 31-year-old Sedalia man has been charged with felonies for allegedly assaulting a woman on May 31.
According to a police report, a woman claimed Brandon Cooper struck her in the face, pulled her hair and smashed the windshield of her 2005 Buick Regal. The woman also said Cooper pulled a knife and lunged at her, trying to stab her.
The woman identified the area where the incident took place and a knife the woman said Cooper possessed was located.
Cooper was located by authorities and denied doing anything wrong. He was arrested and transported to jail.
Cooper has been charged with Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting. Cooper posted $10,000 surety bond on Wednesday, June 3.
Cooper’s arraignment hearing is scheduled to be held on July 7 at Pettis County Circuit Court.
