Practices and events were put on hold in an area school district on Monday, July 6. However, they are scheduled to resume.
They were halted after a student whose parent tested positive for COVID-19 attended practice and the weight room earlier that day.
An updated release from Marshall Public Schools’ Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher says the Saline County Health Department and Marshall High School administration have collaborated to create a plan to open MHS practices and events on Thursday, July 9.
Dr. Maher says “Of course, this could change day by day, but we feel confident about the decision to begin high school events (July 9). MPS appreciates students’ and parents’ understanding and cooperation as we move through this challenge together.”
