A 31-year-old Marshall man facing felony charges following a shooting incident last year in Cooper County has had his cause continued.
Derrick Young is alleged to have shot two persons in the Harley Park area on May 15, 2019. According to the Boonville Police Department both of the victims were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
Young is charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree; a Class A Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains at $500,000 cash or surety.
Young appeared in custody and without his attorney at his most recent court proceeding on Monday, July 13. His cause has been continued and is now scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 10 at Cooper County Circuit Court.
