Carol Dean Leimkuehler, age 77, of Higginsville, died Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 3, at Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, where visitation begins at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Fitzgerald Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, the Fitzgerald Cemetery Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Carol is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home; two sons, Kirk (Kim) Leimkuehler, of Warsaw, and Bruce (Kimberly) Leimkuehler, of Higginsville; a daughter, Susan (George) Owen, of Sturgeon; sisters, Mary Sue Butler-Bartholomew, of Lee’s Summit, and Connie Lang, of Hutchinson, KS; sister-in-law, Marilyn Rice, of Columbia; five grandchildren, Danielle Watkins, Kaleb Leimkuehler, Emily (John) Wilson, Luke Owen and Garret Owen; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley Giles and Dora Mae (Smith) Rice; brother, Charles Rice; and brother-in-law, Duane Lang.
