The Carroll County Health Department has confirmed the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 increased by one on Friday.

There are now 86 positive cases of the virus that have been confirmed in the county since the start of the pandemic.

Since Thursday’s report, eight more people were released from observation to make the total number of recovered cases now 61, leaving 25 active cases, including one person who remains hospitalized.

These numbers are based on case management conducted by the health department staff.
