Four more positive cases of COVID-19 were added to the total in Cooper County on Saturday, August 1.

The Cooper County Health Department says this makes 107 cases reported in the county since the beginning of the pandemic. With 75 positive cases released from observation, 32 cases remain active, including one person hospitalized.

Of the total number of positive cases, 98 are through community transmission and nine are travel-related. The number of cases related to congregate-living is now up to 44, and these cases are included in the total case numbers and community transmissions.

The Cooper County Public Health Center strongly encourages all citizens to wear a mask in public places.
