A culvert-replacement project that is scheduled to close a portion of Highway 129 just south of the Macon County line in Chariton County has been postponed a day.

A news release says local maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation are scheduled to close the highway between Route DD and Harvestor Avenue. The project has been postponed to 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, from Tuesday, August 4.

During the closure, motorists will need to seek an alternate route.

Work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
