A 43-year-old La Monte man died in a rollover all-terrain vehicle crash in Pettis County on Monday.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as an eastbound ATV, driven by Carl Arnett Jr., overturned while negotiating a slight curve and came to rest on top of Arnett.

Arnett, who was not wearing a safety device, was pronounced deceased on the scene by Pettis County Coroner Robert “Skip” Smith.

The crash happened at 7:58 a.m. at 13278 U.S. Highway 50.
