Some board appointments were considered for approval during the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, August 3.

Mayor pro tem Chuck Hines first read the name of proposed member to the park board.

After Ward 4 Councilman Tom Hagedorn made the motion, it was approved by the council.

Then it was on to three appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Those appointments were given the green light, too.

In other news, the council gave its approval to stick with Exchange Bank for a bank bid; and approved the second reading of an ordinance to execute a contract between the city, Board of Public Works and Evergy Metro Inc. (formerly KCP&L)- basically just recognizing the name change.
