On August 30 authorities were advised that a man was threatening to shoot everyone inside Exchange Bank at 929 West Vest Street if they could not get him money from an account. The incident caused schools to go into secure mode. Once on the scene, officers arrested 43-year-old Douglas Frehse, who was also allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine when being booked at the jail.
Frehse has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Making a Terrorist Threat in the Second Degree. Bond remains at $15,000 cash or surety- 10-percent allowed.
The court denied an Oral Motion for Bond reduction from Frehse’s attorney on August 10. Jury Trial in this case is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 27 at Saline County Circuit Court.
