During his report from the Marshall Police Department at the council meeting this week, Ward 1 Councilman Dewey Hendrix gave a helpful tip from the police department regarding traffic and back-to-school safety.

In other news from the meeting, Kris Milliron was there representing Marshall RISE and asked the council if the group can hold a littler pickup event to honor a late Marshall resident. She said it will be the “David Kemm Memorial Trash Bash.”

Ward 3 Councilman Dan Brandt asked Milliron a question about the event’s setup.

The council approved the event to be held on Saturday, September 19.

The next meeting of the Marshall City Council will be on Tuesday, September 8.
