Up by nearly 1,400 on Thursday, September 3, the state’s total number of positive COVID-19 cases is now more than 88,000 since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 88,610- up from 87,213 on Wednesday, September 2.

Three more COVID-19-related deaths were reported, increasing the total from 1,542 on Wednesday to 1,545 on Thursday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS says the next update is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 4.
