Two Carrollton residents have been charged with felonies after an alleged incident on September 4 in Marshall.

A probable-cause statement says a law-enforcement officer was dispatched to a disturbance that was no longer in progress in the 800 block of West College Street. Saline County Central 9-1-1 advised the officer there was a female with a bloody mouth who had been struck by a car, which was described and a traffic stop was conducted shortly thereafter near U.S. Highway 65 and Fairground Road.

The woman who had suffered injuries was transported to Fitzgibbon hospital for treatment. She told the law-enforcement officer she was trying to purchase “weed” and got a ride with individuals she did not know. She said she asked them if she could buy a blunt from them, gave them a $50 bill and expected to get change. But she said the individuals tried to sell her methamphetamine instead. She said the methamphetamine was in the grass where she was sitting upon the officer’s arrival. The victim said she was hit several times by the female subject in the vehicle. The victim described the two individuals in the vehicle and identified them while being transported to the hospital. Arrests were made.

Devin Horn has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Physical Injury. Amber Liddell has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance and a Class E Felony for Assault in the Third Degree. Bond for each of the accused has been set at $15,000 cash only.

Each defendant was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday, September 9. No other information is available at this time.
