A 38-year-old Boonville man is facing a felony charge for an alleged incident on September 9.
According to a Boonville Police report, officers were dispatched to an ongoing domestic assault. Officers noted marks on the back of a woman’s left arm and blood on the top of her head. The woman told officers when she tried to leave the apartment, David Preston Miller grabbed her by her hair and yanked her back into the apartment, pulling out some of her hair in the process. The woman also said Miller had started to choke her. Officers noticed red marks on both sides of the woman’s neck. The woman said she fell unconscious when Miller was choking her and woke up when he was yelling at her and kicking her in her side. She said Miller started choking her again. The woman said multiple times she was afraid for her life.
