More than two dozen bricks honoring area veterans were placed in the sidewalk on the Saline County Courthouse grounds in Marshall on Saturday, October 24.
According to a release from former Saline County Northern District Commissioner Charlie Guthrie, 26 bricks were installed at the “Veterans’ Memory Walk of Honor” on west side of the courthouse.
Professionally-engraved bricks are still available to purchase. They cost $50 each, and applications are available from the Collector’s, Recorder of Deeds or Treasurer’s Office at the courthouse; Dale Zank’s State Farm Insurance Office; or Ed Reis at Wood & Huston Bank in Marshall.
The next batch of bricks will be placed prior to Memorial Day 2021.
