Rolland M. “Rodie” Keeney 87, of Sweet Springs, MO, died on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at the home of his daughter in rural LaMonte, MO.

Born November 30, 1932, in Bagnell, MO, he was the son of the late Orville Keeney and Thelma Alene Cotton Keeney. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. On April 17, 1958, he married Mary Ann Miller who preceded him in death on December 27, 2019. He retired from Pan Handle Eastern Pipe Line Company.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sweet Springs and was active with Sweet Springs American Legion Post 279.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Thomas (Mark) of rural LaMonte; five grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Austin Thomas, Cole Thomas, Ethan Smith and Erin Smith; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Emmy Thomas; one brother, Phil Keeney (Rosie) of Laurie, MO; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Brian Keeney; and one brother, Edwin Keeney.
