handwashing-2

Officials at an area health department say it is extremely important to follow guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Officials at the Cooper County Public Health Center say, “the importance of bathroom hygiene and handwashing during COVID-19 cannot be understated. The virus can be aerosolized from feces for up to 90 days after healing from COVID infection. This is important information for daycares, in homecare, group homes, longterm-care facilities, assisted-living and shared bathrooms of COVID and non-COVID persons.”

Health-department officials also say, “Masks help prevent exposure. Handwashing can help reduce exposure also. Getting food and drinks to go and reducing public exposure can help reduce this risk, (as well).”
